March 12 for 12

Okay, it is only the 3rd month of the year and I messed this up.  I didn't get 12 pictures on the 12th of March.  But I have 12 pictures from the month, so I am going to to 12 pictures of the 12 months instead.  Hey, it is my blog and I can do what I want, right?  :)  So here is a view of our 3rd month.  (minus all the pictures from my families visit, because I already posted all of those)

Photobucket
L to R: At the Folsom Library ready to pick out books!  Fun on the slide! Headed into church, our church building is in the same parking lot as the Sacramento Temple so it was a nice backdrop.  Eating breakfast, nothing better than sitting in front of the TV watching Curious George with a banana and a muffin!

Eating his "taco", and playing at the park with dad.

Photobucket
Mason and Chris at the park, Mason's first time bowling with the Hills, and eating rice!

You will notice that a few of these photos are of Mason eating. He is an endless gullet. He eats non stop, go figure. I don't know why he is so small. Other than he runs me ragged every day. Also, happenings this month: Mason now sleeps through the night, popped out his first tooth!! (Actually he popped out three!) And he is now walking!!! I tried to take a picture of his tooth---didn't work. I have videos of him walking, but no pictures. Sorry. Also, this last week-no more pacifier. He didn't even notice! Guess he didn't need it!

Back to California with the Fam (or at least a few of them...)

We hitched a ride back to California with the Parents and Emily.  So glad that they could come back with us for their week off!!  We had a lot of fun!  Well, I did at least  :)  We checked out San Francisco, went to the horse races with Uncle Rog (almost got in a win picture!), stayed at the horse ranch with Uncle Rog and Aunt Shirley (which is always a treat!), went to the Jelly Belly Factory for a tour (yum!  Free samples!) and went to a Kings Game.  Phew!  That was a lot of stuff in a few days, but so worth it!
Snuggle, it's cold up top!

Some Pictures From Our Trip to Utah

We didn't do too much in Utah other than Mason's party, and Erin's Baby Shower, but I do have some cute pictures from hanging out with family.  I just wanted to post a few...

Splits anyone?
I wish this was real...
Tunnel of Cola.  Thanks Cache Valley Mall for a plethora of junk food to climb on.
First driving lesson
Jungle cat friend
Erin's Baby Shower
She is so cute pregnant :)
Not a great picture, but we got to have lunch with my friend Michelle and these are the two mischief Mason's!
Sucker anyone?
What do you do when you have two babies and only one baby chair at dinner time?  Tie one to the chair with a tablecloth.  Good idea grandma.  Note:  Tie the less wiggly one.  Mason never would have stayed in that!!!

Mason's 1 Year old Stats!

(Thanks Grandma and Grandpa Brown for the outfit!)

Mason had his one year check up, and he is measuring up....well....small.  But that is ok.  We love our little guy  :), and come on, we knew he wasn't going to be really tall, right?  Ha ha ha.  But the doctor said he looks very healthy, and is VERY strong for his age.  We have a great pediatrician here, which I am very glad about!

Weight: 18 pounds - 1st percentile
Length:  28 inches - 5th percentile
Head Circumference:  45 cm - 10th percentile

Also, people think he is a lot younger because the poor little guy doesn't have ANY teeth!!!  Oh well, at least I haven't had to go through that grumpy stage yet....   :)

Mason's 1st Birthday Party!

Wow, What a crazy three weeks it has been! But I guess I will start with Mason's first Birthday Party! I of course stayed with his Dr. Seuss theme that has been fun all year! :) We had Green Eggs and Ham, Poodles with Noodles (not real poodles, just a pasta salad :) Yot in the Pot (Baked Beans) Diffendorfer Salad (Fruit Salad), Roast Beast (Roast Beef Sandwiches), Pink Ink Yink Drink (Pink lemonade), ABC's cookies, Mason had his own Dr. Seuss cake and we also had cupcakes. So much fun! It was great to spend the day with family and friends in Utah, Thanks everyone who came!!!  (Warning:  I know this is a lot of pictures, but I can't help but document most of the party)

Green Eggs anyone??

I found these cute Dr. Seuss stickers at Michaels, and decorated the cupcakes with them.  I think they turned out cute!

White cake from Walmart $5.99, Cat in the Hat Cake Topper from Amazon $1.99, and Dr. Seuss stickers to decorate sides = Inexpensive, but very cute cake!
He couldn't blow the candle himself yet.  Just wanted to grab it.

Not sure what to do.
Pretty tasty...
After a few handfuls of icing in the eyes, fun is over!
