I know that I have not blogged for awhile, but I was in Colorado for a week, and then of course the Olympics has been on (and who has time to do anything when you could be watching Olympics!!!). So to catch up I am posting some of my pictures from Colorado. I go to Breckenridge every year to cach a camp there for the last 12 years (minus last year after I had back surgery). This year I was not able to spot the gymnasts so my official job title was dance teacher. I know, I know. Those of you that know better realize that I am not much of a dancer myself, but I was working with non dancers so it all worked out. It actuall went better than I thought. There were six groups and I did three short dances and they looked very cute doing them! I am so proud of myself!! Of course the week was made even more special by my mom and dad coming to Breckenridge for the week as well. They stayed in a condo next to our staff condo. Unfortunately the reason my mom was able to get off work is because she broke her foot :( She was a trooper though and hobbled around on her crutches with my dad and I for a bit every night when I was done. I didn't get too many pictures other than my camp gymnasts (my other job was camp photographer), but here are a couple fun ones plus a couple of my cute gymnasts!!!

I have been tagged twice!!!
The RULES

2. Post these rules.
3. Tell about 6 unspectacular quirks of yours.
4. Tag 6 fellow bloggers by linking them
Okay, so you want to know 6 quirks about me. Hard to pick 6 out of all my quirks....but here goes....
1. I have A LOT (over 1000) of cd's, not too quirky I know, but the quirky part is, is that I have to have them in alphabetical order. Every time I get a new CD I have to sit down and reorganize my CD's. Of course my favorite artist has to start with an A, so every time I get one of her CD's I have to start clear at the beginning of my CD's. It usually takes me about 2-3 hours to do the "Great Reorganization" as my husband calls it. I try to let them sit in any slot, but it just drives me crazy and I always break down and start alphabatizing...

2. I can't JUST watch TV or JUST watch a movie. If I am not playing Solitaire on my phone or doing crossword puzzles or something other than just sitting and staring at the tube, then my mind wanders. I can't help it, I have to multitask or nothing gets done. This drives my husband crazy because he thinks I am not paying attention when I am doing something else other than just watching. He always quizzes me when we watch something together thinking he is going to prove me wrong, but he hasn't yet.

3. I am a diehard Friends fan. I own all ten seasons and I watch them over and over and over. I believe this is all Amanda's fault from when we were roommates. I had never even seen it before then. So Amanda, if you are reading this, I credit you to opening my eyes to the hilarity of it all. Chris hates that I love friends so much, but I believe that I made him somewhat of a fan last year. I have always hated rice and we made a deal that every time I ate rice, Chris had to watch an episode of Friends. Now I can tolerate eating rice, and he even will laugh every once in awhile at Friends. I know he just tries not to laugh, underneath it all he thinks it is great.

4. I can't sleep without a blanket. Even though it is SUPER hot, I have to sleep with a full on blanket. It cannot even be sheets. I just can't sleep unless I have that thick material wrapped around me. I sleep much better when I am really warm than when I am even a tiny bit cold anyway.

5. I have a bad habit of surfing the internet for HOURS! I think it stems back to last year when I was on bed rest for so long. I have an extreme talent of looking at nonsense on the internet, luckily now I don't waste so much time since I have a job.

6. I don't want a car. I have not had a car for almost 8 months now, and I just have no desire to get one. I need one for practicality reasons, but even though I was drenched in leftover hurricane rains last week on my scooter, I can't bring myself to get a car. I feel that someday I will need one, but for now I find so much enjoyment from riding around town on my scooter, even though it is over 100 degrees outside!!
That is definitely not a complete list, but I don't want to embarrass myself too much! I guess I am supposed to tag people sooo....I tag Rachel, Kirsten, Tasha, Charie, Kristina and Cami. Have fun!!

Vacations!!!
Okay, so this post is a few weeks late, but I forgot my camera when we went to San Diego over the 4th of July, so I just got the pictures. We had a blast of course!! We flew in on Thursday and hung out at the beach on Thursday night. Friday morning the wedding festivities (the reason we went to San Diego for the 4th) started with a softball game. It was Grooms fam vs. Brides fam. We were on the Groom's team. It was a lot of fun, and we had cute shirts with pictures of the bride playing softball when she was a youngster, and the groom as well, depending on which team you were on. Here is a pic of Chris and I in our Groom shirts!

The game started, and Chris kept getting in trouble for not paying attention. Go figure. He is not really the competitive type, which makes it hard for me to compete against him!!! He did get to 1st base once though, doing cartwheels to the base.
The back drop for our game was beautiful. You could see the San Diego temple in the background. This is a picture of Susan in the outfield.
Our team (Groom's) ended up winning, although I didn't really help at all. I am still a bit crippled to play softball. But I was a great cheerleader!
After that was over we had some time to kill before we went to fireworks so we went flying. Paul hadn't been able to fly his plane in awhile since he moved to Utah so it was a good chance.
I must say I was a little nervous since every time I have gone with him there has been some plane drama, but all went well!
I didn't even get motion sick!!
Then we went to the fireworks at Mission Bay. It was cool because you could see so many different cities's fireworks in San Diego County. It was a lot of fun to see friends we had not seen in awhile. Sorry, no pics. Everyone forgot cameras!
The next day was my biggest challenge of the weekend. I had told myself that no matter what I was going to try to surf!! I had not been able to surf in almost 3 years because of my injuries, so it was going to be a test. I figured if I just tried to paddle out I would be victorious. I thought perhaps I would get washed into shore on the first wave!! Test one: Passed. I made it out past the wave breaks. Test Two: Passed. I caught a wave! Test Three: Passed! I stood up and surfed two waves in!!! That may not seem like a lot, but by that time I was sooooo tired!! I could barely paddle back into shore. But I felt great. The picture I have isn't great because the marine layer made visability bad, but this is a picture of me in the wave lineup (2nd from left).
Next up wedding reception. It was a beautiful wedding, with a beautiful bride. I would put more pictures up, but I look fat in all of them, so this is the only one you all get to see!! ;) Looks like I still have a ways to go until I am back in shape!!
This last weekend we were invited by my boss to stay at her beach house on the Gulf of Mexico. It was a lot of fun.

We got up on Saturday and went to the ship yard to get fresh shrimp. I don't like shrimp, but hey, it seemed like I should have shrimp here!!

We spent the rest of the day at the beach, and boy was it warm!! I have never felt water so warm! The waves were hot when they would hit you!!
We were definitely in redneck country too, the forward email I could have made if I would have had my camera when we drove along the beach! Priceless! (by the way, the beaches in Texas are considered state highways, and EVERYONE was driving there big trucks there.) There were confederate flags flying everywhere on the trucks with words like "redneck" imposed on them. Did you even need to tell me? Crazy!
But alas, all things come to an end, so we had to come back to civilization.

Memories!
I got this from Amy's blog and thought it would be fun!!!
1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember!
2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you. If you don't want to play on your blog, or if you don't have a blog, I'll leave my memory of you in my comments.EVERYBODY PLAY! I want to see what memories are out there!
